Week 1 Results

It was a chilly start to the Spring 2026 CML season, with game-time temperatures hovering around 40°F (4°C). Several teams dealt with player availability issues, which contributed to a few lopsided results.

In the Over 35/40 Division, both the Ospreys and Vultures put a whippin’ on their opposition, beating the Owls 9–3 and the Eagles 8–3, respectively. In a slightly more respectable contest, the Hawks (a.k.a. the “Doms”) took down first-year captain Russ Hoffman’s Falcons, 5–2.

Over in the Over 50 Division, the games were generally more competitive, aside from the Cougars’ 6–2 victory over the Lions in the 6:30 p.m. match. In the 7:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. games, the Jaguars and Tigers jumped out to early 5–2 and 3–0 leads, respectively. Both advantages evaporated, however, as the Panthers and Lynx battled back to level the score. In the end, the Jags and Tigers each found late winners to seal their victories.
