Summer 5v5 Registration OPEN!

Exciting news!

The Charleston Masters League is bringing its Summer 4v4 league to North Charleston with a new format. We are partnering with Soccer5 Charleston to host a new CML Summer 5v5 league at the Soccer5 indoor facility (3297 Pacific St, North Charleston, SC 29418).

We are still finalizing details and logistics for the upcoming summer season, but the format will likely be similar to the traditional 4v4 model, where captains can form their own teams. Here’s what we can share so far:

Schedules & Fields

  • Thursday nights beginning June 4

  • 8–10 game season

  • Two fields, with two game times (6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.)

  • If additional fields are needed, we will expand the 6:00 p.m. time slot

  • Games are 50 minutes (two 25-minute halves)

Teams

  • Minimum of 8 teams, maximum of 12 teams

  • Each team must have at least 10 players (12+ recommended)

  • Captains may select their teams from registered players prior to registration closing

  • All players must be 18+ and do not need to be current CML players

  • Current CML players and their families will receive priority registration

  • All players must have a current USASA/SCASA card

Format & Rules

  • 5v5 format

  • Size 4 or 5 indoor ball must be used

  • Evaluating whether to include goalkeepers

  • Only goalkeepers (if applicable) may stand in the goal crease

  • All goals must be scored from outside the crease and within the attacking half

  • Players may substitute at any position when the ball is out of play

Registration & Fees:

  • Registration opened April 15

  • $60 per player through May 15

  • $70 per player through May 30

  • Registration closes end of day June 1

  • Games begin June 4 and conclude by August 13
