Fall 2026 Over 50 Table Taking Shape

Week 3 brought another entertaining night, with the late game featuring a particularly ruthless Cougars performance.

Week 3 Results

  • Cougars 10 – Panthers 0

  • Lynx 5 – Lions 2

  • Jaguars 6 – Tigers 3

Mack’s Courageous Cougars wasted absolutely no time in the late game, scoring just 19 seconds after kickoff — and then, for symmetry, adding another with 19 seconds left on the clock.

In between those two goals, they somehow only managed to score eight more.

One of the nicer goals of the night came when Kenny P served a great cross to the back post, where Mike Tall finished it with a header.

The Panthers, meanwhile, refused to score in apparent protest after nearly every player in red got on the scoresheet. The only Cougars spared from joining the goal parade were CJ and Gieg.

The Lions started strongly against the Lynx, controlling possession for roughly the first 10 minutes but failing to turn that advantage into goals. The Lynx, meanwhile, were ruthless with their early chances and converted both of their first two opportunities.

Things then got a little messy. Two bad Lynx giveaways led to two Mike Vaughn goals, sending the teams into halftime tied 2–2. The second half stayed scrappy, but the Lynx made fewer mistakes, took control, and eventually pulled away for a 5–2 win.

The Jaguars–Tigers game looked like it might be turning into a nail-biter. With Sal at the helm, the Tigers pulled level early in the second half. But on the ensuing kickoff, Brian Nettles took two steps and buried the go-ahead goal, immediately swinging the momentum back to the baby blue squad. From there, the Jaguars took full control and pulled away for a 6–3 win.

Through three games, the Cougars are now sitting on a rather subtle +20 goal differential — 22 scored, 2 allowed. Nothing to see here.

At this point, the league may need to investigate whether Mack has quietly assembled a traveling all-star team.

See everyone next Thursday!
